Summer Athletic Camps

Summer Athletic Camps Build Character Confidence and New Relationships

The Summer Athletic Camps at Benedictine College Prep are great ways to learn from our high school coaches, take advantage of the awesome athletic facilities at the Benedictine Schools of Richmond, and have fun! We welcome all experience levels! This summer, we are happy to offer boys basketball, football, and wrestling. Why Participate In Our Summer Sports Camps

It is a great opportunity for youth athletes to learn and grow in their sport, gain confidence, build character, as well as meet fellow athletes from different schools and build new relationships.

About Our Facilities

The Benedictine Schools of Richmond operates Saint Gertrude High School and Benedictine College Preparatory. Together the schools share a peaceful, modern, and sprawling campus including the campus’s new, world-class athletic facilities, an auditorium, newly renovated baseball field, athletic fields, and a new state-of-the-art gymnasium.

  • Boys' Basketball Summer Camps

    Dates and Times
    June 9th- June 12th, 9am-3pm: REGISTER HERE
    June 16th - June 19th, 9am-3pm:  REGISTER HERE
    (Early drop off/late pick up fee: $35 8AM or 4PM)
    Rising 2nd to Rising 9th graders
    Campers may pack or purchase lunch (pizza, candy, chips, water, Gatorade)
    Cost per session $275

    “Our camp will provide youth players the foundation of basketball skills and knowledge they need. With instruction from Benedictine’s new head coach, Sidney McCray, we're sure you'll learn a lot and have fun while doing it.”

    Lunch can be purchased during camp, or brought from home!

    Before and after care is available to all youth athletes beginning 30 minutes before camp start time, and 30 minutes after.

  • Wrestling Summer Camps

    June 26-28 – Battle Camp #1
      • Grades 2-9, Beginner to Intermediate
      • At the Battle Camp, we stick to the fundamentals. We also put a major emphasis on FUN and learning to ENJOY the competitive nature of the sport. This is a fantastic camp for kids trying out wrestling for the first time, but is also a great option for intermediate-level wrestlers.

    June 30-July 2 – College Coach Camp
      • Grades 7-12, Intermediate to Advanced
      • The College Coach Camp will feature clinicians that are current coaches at NCAA Division I, II, & III wrestling programs throughout the Mid-Atlantic area. They will be sharing the same philosophies and techniques that they implement in their college programs. Colleges staffs that will be represented include UVA, UNC, GMU, Roanoke, Ferrum, Randolph, and more to be confirmed soon.

    July 7-9 – Academy Camp
      • Grades, 7-12, Intermediate to Advanced
      • The Academy Camp features coaching representation from several of the nation's Federal Service Academies or Senior Military Colleges. This camp will give campers the opportunity to get a feel for each Academy's coaching style, philosophy, and techniques, and also to hear about the unique experience of applying to, attending, and wrestling for each of these Military Colleges or Academies.

    July 14-17 – Battle Camp #2
      • Grades 2-9, Beginner to Intermediate

Our camps are a fun way for beginners and experienced players alike to learn more about a sport and our schools as the campers will get to work with our high school coaches and student-athletes while making new friends and experiencing our campus.
